Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year, that is, behind Halloween and Christmas — Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon. After the less than ideal work week, I desperately need this. A full 24 hours devoted entirely to myself, full of reading, social media, comfy pjs, snacks, and lots and lots of coffee.
My readathon TBR pile is usually out of control so this time I have selected two books, A Court of Thrones and Roses, and A Court of Mist and Fury. Both have been on my list for months, and what better time to read than a few days before book three, A Court of Wings and Ruin, arrives.
Looking back, I spent more time during the October readathon with my nose in a book, and less on social media. While I was able to fully focus on what I was reading, I do feel as though I missed out on one of the most important elements of the readathon, interacting with the fabulous Dewey family. This time, I will try to update my blog every two hours, during which time I will also check in on various social media platforms to cheer on others.
And seeing as how competitive I can be (with myself, less with others), I hope to accomplish more than I did in October. My final stats were:
Total Time Reading: 12 hours (720 minutes)
Total Pages Read: 669
Books Read: 2
Mini-Challenges Completed: 4
Blog Updates: 4 (and a prep post)
Okay, time to get some much-needed sleep. I will see everyone bright and early.
